Hello!

SSMachMo (Sensor Suite Machine Monitoring) is the unofficial nickname for the machine monitoring sensor suite project with the Dumond Design Lab at the University of Ottawa.

If you are reading this, you are likely part of the next set of researchers working on this project.

For your convenience, I have created this Wiki to help organize all the documentation that I wanted to create for this project. Feel free to update it, or eventually convert it into the public-facing Wiki for this project. Nothing is sacred.

START HERE

To continue work on this project, you will need the following:

  1. The physical equipment, which includes the evaluation boards, breadboard, and jumper cables attached to all of the sensors; and the project Raspberry Pi + accessories.
  2. An account in Silicon Labs. https://www.silabs.com/community
  3. The latest Simplicity Studio Version. https://www.silabs.com/developers/simplicity-studio
  4. A Github account. Then tell me what it is (email or Teams) and I will grant your contributor access.
  5. Follow this tutorial to set up the gateway Pi.
  6. Download the sensor node software (on Github: https://github.com/Dumond-Design-Laboratories). You may also need help from this tutorial if something goes awry.
  7. Check the current state of the project to figure out where to begin.
